Surreal Hourglass Hall with Dissolving Figures

In a cinematic wide shot, elegant figures in lace garments begin to dissolve into shimmering stardust inside a hall of giant, ticking hourglasses. The stardust is rendered with layered wax burnishing, making each grain sparkle against the toothy paper grain texture of the scene. Meticulous cross-hatching details the glass curves of the hourglasses and the fraying edges of the lace. The composition uses the rule of thirds to highlight a single figure reaching out, personifying the tragic wasting of the soul and time.
