Manga Man Taking a Selfie

a stylish young man taking a selfie against a clean, color-blocked background. He has tousled hair and a confident expression, wearing large over-ear headphones connected by a cord. Dressed in a loose t-shirt, exuding a casual, edgy vibe. His arms are fully tattooed with intricate designs that extend from his wrists up past his sleeves. He holds a smartphone in his right hand, positioned mid-selfie with his arm slightly raised and his body turned at a slight angle. A crossbody bag strap runs across his chest. a minimalist yet bold backdrop that enhances the character’s modern, expressive appearance. This drawing adopts a loose, sketch‑driven manga style that feels both energetic and spontaneous: the linework is intentionally rough and varied in weight, with visible brush‑pen texture and occasional stray strokes that convey movement and urgency. Color is applied sparingly—primarily flat blocks of black and a punchy orange accent—creating a high‑contrast, two‑tone effect that immediately draws the eye to key elements. Shading is minimal, relying on bold swaths of ink rather than gradients, while highlights are suggested through untouched white space. Anatomical proportions skew slightly stylized—elongated limbs, angular shoulders, and expressive, iconographic faces—focusing on dynamic posture rather than meticulous realism. Overall, the aesthetic merges quick‑sketch manga conventions with a pared‑down color palette to produce a raw, kinetic portrait that feels both immediate and characterful.
