Miyamoto Musashi salpa verso l'isola di Ganryu con una spada di legno

This is the point in time when Miyamoto Musashi set sail for Ganryū Island, prepared to engage in battle with Kojirō Sasaki. Musashi, disadvantaged by the distance separating him from Kojirō, who wielded the «leather-rope» sword, had an advantage in terms of reach. Having destroyed the spare oar of his ship, he fashioned it into a makeshift wooden sword.
