Steinhäuser verschwinden in ornamentiertem Nebel über einer verwitterten Stadt

highly detailed micro-textured oil painting, style of William Morris, Josephine Wall, micro-pointillism with a fine-sand texture, squat stone houses with tiled roofs were lost in the haze; the fog shimmered, smelled of cinnamon and coffee; it swirled around, forming ornaments and patterns, rising up like towers, rooftops, brickwork and tin garage roofs, old weather vanes—a heavy city, yet right beside it, another world: free, unbearably bright—air, wind, the breath of the mountains.
