Portrait en pied d’un jeune homme vêtu de velours, dans le style de la Renaissance

This is a full-length oil portrait of a medieval man in his very early twenties, rendered in a Renaissance style. The composition employs traditional portraiture techniques. He is a tall young man with golden-blonde hair and sparkling green eyes, wearing a gentle smile. He is dressed in a magnificent, richly decorated outfit of deep red and black velvet lined with gold silk, featuring a deep green tunic adorned with intricate, finely detailed embroidery. This is paired with a soft-draping black cloak with a gold lining, black trousers, and high-topped, glossy black leather boots with gold ornamentation. He stands in a three-quarter profile pose, with his left side positioned slightly forward. The setting is the knight's hall of a medieval castle, featuring tables set for a celebration. A large banner hangs in the central position, displaying a dual coat of arms: on one side, a black stag rearing on a gold background with a crown hovering above its head; on the other, a gold lion rearing on a red background. The painting showcases classic oil techniques, including visible brushstrokes that follow the contours of the face and a softening effect between areas of light and shadow.
