Portrait en pied d’un jeune homme portant une tunique noire brodée

The image is a full-length, Renaissance-style oil painting depicting a young man. A fair-skinned, lean young man stands in the picture, looking directly at the viewer. He is posed in a three-quarter view, with his left side positioned slightly forward. He has shoulder-length, wavy black hair and dark eyes; his face is clean-shaven, and his expression is calm yet proud. He wears a black medieval tunic embroidered with ornate golden-yellow patterns and a large, central, stylized golden-yellow kraken crest; an ornate gold chain complements his attire. He wears a wide white belt with metal fittings, light gray trousers, and high black leather boots, along with a dark, fur-trimmed cloak. A dagger and a medieval longsword are strapped to his belt. Behind him, the shadowy details of a stone castle corridor or courtyard are visible: rough masonry, a banner bearing the golden-yellow kraken crest on a black background, and a background featuring cold, snowy conditions with weak, diffused sunlight. The painting is executed in a classic style, characterized by visible brushwork that follows the contours of the face and a technique that softens the transitions between light and shadow.
