Un garçon se tient avec une oie et trois canetons dans un champ d'herbe

A series of nine illustrations depicting rural farm life in a naive, folk art style. Each panel features simple, brightly colored scenes with distinct characters and farm animals engaged in daily chores. The overall aesthetic is reminiscent of vintage children's book illustrations or educational charts, with a flat perspective and bold outlines. The color palette is dominated by warm yellows, earthy browns, vibrant greens, and sky blues, creating a cheerful and idyllic atmosphere. The individual panels showcase: 1. A boy with a stick in a grassy field, with a large goose and three ducklings. 2. A man shoveling hay next to a trough, with a cart in the background. 3. A woman operating a butter churn inside a rustic building. 4. A woman feeding chickens in a fenced enclosure. 5. Two men working with sacks and hay bales inside a barn. 6. A boy pulling water from a well with a bucket. 7. A young man loading hay onto a cart with a pitchfork, with a cow and calf nearby. 8. A white hen standing near a doghouse, with a dog inside and a bone on a plate. 9. A man grooming a brown horse. The style is characterized by loose brushstrokes, visible texture, and a charming, slightly imperfect rendering of figures and surroundings. The lighting is generally bright and even, suggesting daytime. The composition within each panel is straightforward, focusing on the action. The mood is peaceful, wholesome, and depicts a harmonious relationship between humans, animals, and their rural environment. The artwork evokes a sense of nostalgia and simplicity.
