Un noble loup se tient près d'un puits tandis qu'un cochon apparaît

A charming, hand-colored engraving in the style of 19th-century fables depicts an anthropomorphic wolf, dressed as a nobleman with a feathered hat, a vibrant blue, yellow, and red coat, dark blue breeches, and yellow boots. He holds a slender sword at his side and gestures with his paw. The wolf stands beside a stone well, from which a pig's head emerges from the water. The scene is set outdoors with a pastoral background featuring a village with a church steeple, rolling hills, and a bright, cloudy sky. To the left, a wooden structure with a pulley and rope, characteristic of a well mechanism, is visible. In the foreground, a cluster of red berries and yellow flowers grows near the base of the well. The illustration has a slightly aged, textured appearance, with fine hatching and cross-hatching lines defining the forms and shadows. The overall mood is narrative and slightly whimsical, characteristic of classic storybook illustrations. The color palette is muted but rich, with earthy tones and bright accents in the clothing.
