Julian never thought he’d be kissing anyone, much less than another boy. It had all happened so suddenly. It was almost like a dream, a haze. It certainly wasn’t real. Was it? As some of the students were playing football at the remedial school, a snow squall had blown in. With no time to return, the rich followed the delinquent students to their school. They hung out at the cafeteria, all talking, and laughing, waiting for the snowstorm to die down. They played chess, read books, watched TV, and eventually the snow did stop. Everyone was leaving. As usual, Eddie was the last to leave, and he took forever. “Guess you’re leaving, then?” Julian asked, forcing his tone to stay casual. He forced the blush down, knowing that having sandy blonde hair would not help. So unlike Eddie, and his handsome dark curls… “You’re always so eager to get rid of me.” Eddie stepped a little closer to Julian, glancing at his lips. “And you haven’t told me why. I asked a few times, but you ain’t said nothing.” “What”s there to say?” Julian shook his head.“We go to different schools. You gotta go where you belong.” Eddie leaned against the wall. “There’s something else there, and I know it. And I ain’t gonna tell nobody if you just—.“ Julian couldn’t help himself. Well, he knew he could, but he didn’t want to. He didn’t care about what happened next. He gently grabbed Eddie’s shoulder, pulled him closer, and kissed him on the lips. He was perfectly ready for the fallout. Eddie would probably hit him. Or kick him. Either way, he would have to face the consequences for this. But he just wanted this one moment. What he didn’t prepare for was for Eddie to wrap his arms around Julian‘s neck and kiss him back, holding him close. “I knew it.” he breathed in Julian’s‘s ear, before kissing him again. Suddenly, Julian longed for him to stay. To hug him. To kiss him. To hold his hand. Hell, it didn’t matter, Julian just wanted Eddie. He certainly wasn’t ready for Eddie to step away and smile. “Well, thanks for being honest with me.” At that, Julian ran. And now, two hours later, lying in bed, he was questioning whether or not it really happened. He could still feel Eddie in his arms, still feel his warm breath against his face, still hear the sound of his voice. It had happened. He had kissed Eddie Milano, and he wanted to again.
