This is a formal, meticulously crafted, full-length Renaissance portrait of a woman in the Renaissance style, in three-quarter view. The composition uses traditional portrait techniques. A young woman of royal descent, slender and graceful. She has a delicate face, a well-proportioned high forehead, and a beautifully shaped, aristocratic nose. Her eyes are blue. Her long, wavy, light brown hair is part braided in a halo, part loose, falling down her back. On her head she wears a dark gold and deep gold amber-motif tiara, set with peridot and sapphire gems and white pearls. Her attire is a medieval-style pale green pleated organza dress with long, funnel-shaped, full sleeves, a long, floor-length skirt, and a border embroidered with a green and gold ivy leaf pattern.
