Gothic Lovers Under a Tiny Umbrella
About This Gothic Couple Illustration
A closer look at the subject, style and details in this image.
A skeletal gentleman bends beneath a crooked, comically small umbrella while a stitched doll woman stands dry beneath him in an impossible storm. Their tangled limbs, flying ribbons, and windblown hair frame the unusual romantic encounter.
Scratchy cross-hatched graphite and ink contours give the monochrome scene a storybook feel, while stippled shadows create a playful dark-fantasy mood. It could suit a gothic romance book cover or a character-art poster.
