A comic clown faces a tearful diner patron over dinner

A vintage comic book illustration depicting a clown with bright orange hair, a red nose, and a wide, unsettling smile, wearing a purple vest over a white shirt, a large yellow and polka-dotted bowtie, and brightly colored striped pants. He is standing to the left, making a peace sign with his fingers, and looking towards a distressed woman sitting at a table on the right. The woman, with dark wavy hair and wearing a blue patterned shirt, is crying profusely, dabbing her eyes with a white tissue. She is seated at a table covered with a red and white checkered tablecloth. On the table are a half-eaten salad, a glass of water, a salt shaker, and a bottle of ketchup. In the background, a cozy, wood-paneled diner setting is visible, with other patrons seated at tables and framed pictures on the wall. The lighting is warm and inviting, typical of an indoor evening scene. The art style is reminiscent of 1950s American comic art, with bold lines, flat colors, and a slightly dramatic, exaggerated facial expression for both characters. The overall mood is one of dark humor or pathos, juxtaposing the clown's cheerful demeanor with the woman's profound sadness. Medium shot, eye-level perspective.
